The iAM: MUSIC!
iAM MUSIC Fest is more than a music festival— it’s a nonprofit-driven celebration of the artists, audiences, and community that make live music matter.
Each year, downtown Durango becomes a collaborative playground for creativity, hosting performances across eight stages that range from intimate acoustic sets to high-energy headline shows. The programming is intentionally diverse, spotlighting everything from emerging local talent and student performers to nationally touring acts.
No matter how much the festival evolves, our guiding principles remain constant:

• Provide meaningful performance opportunities for artists at all stages of their careers
• Bring the community together through accessible cultural experiences

History of iAM MUSIC Fest!
Founded in 2015, iAM MUSIC Fest was created to celebrate creativity, connection, and community while supporting access to music education across the Four Corners region. What began as a small gathering of artists and musicians quickly grew into a multi-day festival bringing together local talent, regional favorites, and national touring artists in the heart of Durango.
Over the years, the festival has evolved alongside the community it serves, but its purpose has remained the same: to elevate artists, foster meaningful connections, and strengthen the creative ecosystem of Southwest Colorado.
Most importantly, every ticket sold helps support iAM MUSIC’s mission—funding scholarships, performance opportunities, and access to music education for musicians of all ages. Thank you for being part of the journey and helping keep the music alive in our community.

San Juan Smiles Stage
The "Main Stage"
Located at the corner of 2nd Ave and 7th Street in the back middle of the festival grounds, the San Juan Smiles Stage features a diverse lineup of touring and regional artists bringing high-energy performances to iAM MUSIC Fest!.
7th Street Stage
Main Stage 2
Located in the middle of 7th Street within the main festival grounds next to the San Juan Smiles Stage, featuring a rotating lineup of regional and emerging artists keeping the music flowing all weekend at iAM MUSIC Fest!.
Artesanos Stage
"Acoustic Stage"
Located inside Artesanos on the corner of 2nd Ave and 7th Street, this stage offers an intimate listening experience with acoustic performances, singer-songwriters, and a few select full-band sets throughout the weekend.
Lola's Place Stage
Artist Brunch
Located at 725 E 2nd Ave, just steps from the main festival grounds, this stage hosts our free Artist Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM–1 PM.
Durango Arts Center
Late Night Stage
Located at 802 E 2nd Ave in downtown Durango, this late-night stage features immersive performances that keep the festival energy going after dark.
American Legion
Late Night Stage
Located at 878 E 2nd Ave, this is one of the Durango’s newest live music venues—this late stage keeps the energy high with lively, after-hours performances.
Rochester Stage
Free Public Stage
Located in the Secret Garden at the Rochester Hotel (726 E 2nd Ave) in downtown Durango, the Rochester Stage offers a unique, tucked-away setting featuring intimate performances throughout the festival.
The iNDIGO Room
Fest! Pre-Party
Located inside the iAM MUSIC Institute in downtown Durango, this stage kicks off iAM MUSIC Fest! with our free pre-party, featuring live music, community vibes, and an energetic start to the weekend.

Lodging
Because iAM MUSIC Fest takes place in downtown Durango, there are many great lodging options within walking distance of the festival. Visitors will find a wide range of hotels, motels, vacation rentals, and boutique inns throughout the downtown area and along the Animas River — making it easy to stay close to the music and the heart of the action.
For those looking for a more adventurous stay, Durango is surrounded by San Juan National Forest, where both designated campgrounds and dispersed camping opportunities exist. However, weather in Southwest Colorado during this time of year can be unpredictable, and some forest roads and camping areas may not yet be accessible depending on conditions.
If you are planning to camp on National Forest lands, we strongly recommend checking current conditions and availability with the local U.S. Forest Service before making plans.
