Bio

Shainna Allen is a New England native currently reclaiming her musical passions in Durango, pursuing a
Vocal Music Performance degree at Fort Lewis College. Her passion for music began early and was
ignited by leading roles in high school productions such as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and Moulin Rouge’s
Satine. Though she later graduated as valedictorian with Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice
and Psychology, her heart ultimately led her back to music.
After entertaining post-graduation wanderlust—including travels in New Zealand, backpacking the
Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trails, and studying Ayurveda and Yoga in India—Shainna landed in
Durango, rediscovering her musical passions through castings in local community theater productions
(Heathers: The Musical, 2022; Reefer Madness, 2023; Snowdown Follies Chorus Line, 2023; and Natasha,
Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, 2024). Her reignited love for music and theater brought her back to
the stage and also back into the classroom.
Shainna teaches and performs with a philosophy centering on unapologetic creative expression. Her
vocal coaching blends classical and musical theater techniques with contemporary influences, like
Yebba, Jennifer Hudson, Amy Winehouse and Jewel, to make vocal training both fun and challenging.
Her mission is to inspire and support artists in expressing themselves with confidence, while mastering
professional vocal technique.
