Bio
Kate Willyard is a professional singer, songwriter, and musician whose influences include Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin, and Emmylou Harris. She currently shares her passion for music as a vocal/songwriting coach here at The iAM Music Institute in Durango, Colorado. As a founding member of the national touring Americana project, The Cannondolls (2012-2018), Kate blends her vocal harmonies with her co-writer and co-founder, Caitlin Cannon (featured in Billboard, 2020, ‘TrashCannon’) on their debut EP, ‘Crumbs’. This expanded her songwriting and performance skills and presented opportunities for album production, promotion, and sync licensing. The Cannondolls provided opening support for various touring artists including Ned LeDoux, Sundance Head, Farewell Angelina, and Eilen Jewell. She has shared the stage with Danny Gokey, Scott Krippayne, and Daphne Willis, among others. Kate is passionate about developing confidence in her students and helping them grow in their knowledge, technique, and abilities! Whatever your age or experience, she is ready to help you in your artistic exploration. Please reach out by email for a complimentary phone consultation to discover a tailored plan just for you.
