Sam Kelly

Born in Durango, Colorado in 1991, Sam grew up in Dolores Colorado where he started playing the saxophone at the age of 11. Though listening to a variety of music genres throughout middle school and high school, Sam became a dedicated jazz student through his years at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO where he mentored with Dr. Mark Walters, Dr. Johnathan Latta, Jeff Solon and others. Sam has been with iAM MUSIC since 2017 teaching private lessons as well as outreach classes for Animas High and Liberty Middle School. Though saxophone is his primary instrument Sam also teaches clarinet, music theory and beginner piano in his private lesson studio.
